Personal Data in the Application Process
Personal data refers to information about the personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable individual. This includes information such as your name, address, phone number, and date of birth, as well as data about your career path, which can be assigned to a particular person with reasonable effort. Information that cannot be directly or indirectly linked to your actual identity is not considered personal data.
Basis and Purpose for Processing Personal Data in Applications
If you apply electronically, via email or our web form, we collect and process your personal data for the purpose of managing the application process and for taking pre-contractual measures. By submitting an application on our recruiting page, you express your interest in working with us. In this context, you provide us with personal data that we use and store exclusively for your job search/application. In particular, the following data is collected: name (first and last name), email address, phone number, LinkedIn profile (optional), and how you became aware of us. You also have the option to upload relevant documents such as a cover letter, resume, and certificates, which may contain additional personal data like date of birth, address, etc. Only authorized personnel or those involved in the application process have access to your data. The storage of personal data is primarily for filling the vacant position you applied for. Your data will be stored for 180 days beyond the end of the application process. This is usually done to meet legal obligations or to defend against any claims. Afterwards, we are obligated to delete or anonymize your data. In this case, we only have access to the data as so-called metadata without direct personal reference for statistical evaluations (e.g., proportion of female to male applicants, number of applications over a certain period, etc.). Furthermore, we reserve the right to store your data in our "Talent Pool" for 365 days after the application process to identify other potentially interesting positions for you. If you receive and accept an offer of employment from us, we store the personal data collected during the application process for at least the duration of the employment relationship.
Transfer of Data to Third Parties
The data provided in your application is transmitted using TLS encryption and stored in a database operated by Personio GmbH, which offers HR management and applicant management software (https://www.personio.de/impressum/). In this context, Personio is our processor according to Art. 28 DS-GVO. The basis for processing is a contract for order processing between us, as the responsible party, and Personio.
Rights of the Data Subject
If we process personal data as the responsible party, you, as the data subject, have certain rights according to Chapter III of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (DS-GVO), in particular, the right to information (Art.15 DS-GVO), correction (Art.16 DS-GVO), deletion (Art. 17 DS-GVO), restriction of processing (Art. 18 DS-GVO), data portability (Art. 20 DS-GVO), and objection (Art. 21 DS-GVO). If the processing of personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to revoke this data protection consent according to Art. 7 III DS-GVO. Please contact our Data Protection Officer (see section 2) to assert your rights regarding the data processed in this online application process.
Final Provisions
We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy at any time to ensure it always meets current legal requirements or to reflect changes in the application process. For subsequent visits to this recruiting page or a new application, the new privacy policy applies. In addition to this privacy policy, you can also view our general privacy policy.

Access Logs ("Server Logs")
Every time this recruiting page is accessed, general log data, so-called server logs, are automatically recorded. These data are usually pseudonyms and therefore do not allow conclusions about an individual. Without this data, it would sometimes be technically impossible to deliver and display the contents of the software. In addition, processing this data is essential for security reasons, especially for access, input, and transfer and storage control. Moreover, the anonymous information can be used for statistical purposes as well as for optimizing the offer and the technology. Also, the log files can be checked and evaluated retrospectively in case of suspicion of illegal use of the software. The legal basis for this is § 15 Abs. 1 Telemediengesetz (TMG) and Art. 6 (1) f DS-GVO. General data such as the domain name of the website, the web browser and web browser version, the operating system, the IP address, and the timestamp of accessing the software are recorded. The scope of this logging does not go beyond the usual scope of any other website on the Internet. The storage duration of these access logs is up to 7 days. There is no right to object.
Error Logs ("Error Logs")
For the purpose of error identification and correction, so-called error logs ("Error-Logs") are created. This is essential to be able to respond to possible problems with the presentation and implementation of content as quickly as possible (legitimate interest). These data are usually pseudonyms and therefore do not allow conclusions about an individual. The legal basis for this is § 15 Abs. 1 TMG and Art. 6 (1) f DS-GVO. When an error message occurs, general data such as the domain name of the website, the web browser and web browser version, the operating system, the IP address, and the timestamp when the corresponding error message/specification occurred are recorded. The storage duration of these error logs is up to 7 days. There is no right to object.
Use of Cookies
This recruiting page sometimes uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on the device with which you access this recruiting page. Cookies essentially ensure security when visiting a website ("absolutely necessary"), implement certain functionalities such as standard language settings ("functional"), improve the user experience or performance on the website ("performance"), or play out target group-based advertising ("marketing"). On this recruiting page, only absolutely necessary, functional, and performance cookies are used, especially to implement certain presets such as language, to identify the application channel, or to analyze the performance of a job advertisement through which a user reached this recruiting page. The use of cookies is essential for providing our services and thus for fulfilling the contract (Art. 6 (1) b DS-GVO). Storage duration: Up to 1 month or until the browser session ends. Right to object: You can determine yourself via your browser settings whether you want to allow cookies or object to the use of cookies. Please note that deactivating cookies can lead to restricted or completely blocked functionality of this recruiting page.
Rights of the Affected
If Personio SE & Co. KG processes personal data as the responsible body, you, as the person affected, depending on the legal basis and purpose of the processing, have certain rights under Chapter III of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (DS-GVO), including the right to information (Art. 15 DS-GVO), the right to correction (Art. 16 DS-GVO), the right to deletion (Art. 17 DS-GVO), the right to restrict processing (Art. 18 DS-GVO), the right to data portability (Art. 20 DS-GVO), and the right to object (Art. 21 DS-GVO). If the processing of personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to revoke this data protection consent according to Art. 7 III DS-GVO. To assert your rights concerning the data processed for the operation of this recruiting page, please contact the data protection officer of Personio SE & Co. KG (see section B).
Final Provisions
Personio reserves the right to adapt this data protection declaration at any time so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to implement changes to services in the data protection declaration, e.g., when introducing new services. For a subsequent visit to this recruiting page or a renewed application, the new data protection declaration then applies.
